Hi folks,
Today's charity ride for the Brain Injury Association went very well. Low key, but the people were all very nice & interesting, and our little party had a great time. I'm certainly planning on being involved again next year. However, my (previously injured) hand needs to recover a bit from it before I type a lot, so this is just a short update.
Another important thing that happened today is that Doug's trach opening was removed. This was actually even less of a deal than we were thinking. There was no surgery, a nurse just pulled out the valve and covered the hole with a bandage. It'll heal by itself relatively quickly. Doug also got in a few walks outside on Friday before the weather turned to rain, and today graduated to eating a sandwich for lunch. Dan and Jen's meeting with his therapy team also went well and all continuess to look promising.
That's about it for now. Visiting hours are 12–8 on weekends if anyone can make it tomorrow (Sunday). Hopefully I'll run into some of you there tomorrow.

When I saw Doug on Saturday night he said he really wanted to see this website, but didn’t have internet access. If someone could print out the pages for him I’m sure he’d really appreciate it.
