Chesapeake Regional Results

Hey all-

The Chesapeake Regional was definitely a success! EA’s robot did amazingly well, and their final product showed just that. I’m sure they’re still beaming from it all.At the end of qualification rounds, they were in 9th place. That did mean though that they weren’t in the position to pick their alliance partners (as 1-8 does). But- as usually happens, when a team in the top eight picks another team in the top eight, teams get moved up or down. As it turned out, 2234 got the chance to pick 7th, since not one but two alliances chose top-eight teams to work with them. When given our chance, we chose team 341(!) and team 449. Being able to turn the tables and be the one choosing team 341 felt really good- however odd our alliance ended up being. The alliance made it to the semi-final matches, which was awesome. There were some sour notes in those final matches, but when we look back on our success, we’ll definitely smile. I really enjoyed watching matches and being there for the team. : )
