Ride of Silence

Yup, tomorrow (Wednesday, May 21) is the annual ‘Ride of Silence’.  For those of you who may not know what it is, it’s a really somber thing, kinda. Each year, cyclists meet up in towns, cities, places all over the nation (or beyond? i don’t know) at generally the same time and ride slowly, in silence. They do this to commemorate and honor those who have been victims on the road. It’s not like Critical Mass, where cyclists generally do the same thing (block traffic by going slow) but it’s somber and reflective. Hopefully passersby think twice as well. I did it last year, and figure I should not miss it if I ever have the chance to do it. So you’ve got it, I’ll be there.

Maybe I’ll see you?
